Hi, I’m Mackenzie
I'm Mackenzie Hawkins, and I guide playful explorations in lived philosophy, Taoist meditation, and Tai Chi.
My journey brought me to Princeton University where I studied History of Science and met Dr. Wonchull Park, Princeton physicist and Tai Chi Master. I've co-authored several books with him and now teach tai chi at Princeton. Drawing from his teaching, my work is about recognizing that we're part of nature's flow — and that our true self flows naturally with awareness, responsiveness, and aligned action. Rather than trying to achieve special states or "should-ing" ourselves, the practice is simple, in a way.
We're already together: with nature, with all parts of ourselves, with each other. The work is stopping the interference (wu-wei) with what's already real. When we recognize and live this togetherness, we experience meaningfulness right in our living as it is.
I work with families — especially fathers and their children ages 7-10 — because I believe young people deserve to see life less as a place to strive to be enough and more as an opportunity for daily discovering and expressing their being.
We all deserve that!
💛 Mackenzie
